Sandbox Mock Server is replaced by Demobank

The finAPI XS2A interface offers TPPs the possibility to test end-to-end scenarios on Sandbox, by connecting to a demo bank backend (referred to as Mock Server).

In the release on 19.03.2025, the Mock Server will be updated to a new improved version, referred to as Demobank. 

The key updates for the new Demobank on Sandbox:

1. SCA exemption enabled for transactions older 90 days after consent creation
2. Account Ids changed to proper UUIDs and the product in the account changed from "SCT" to "Current Account" or "Card Account" (please refer to the public documentation on Sandbox Test Accounts and Test Data)
3. More realistic transactions are now generated for the accounts and we have deleted all old transactions for the accounts
4. Calculated balances for the accounts (one for "interimAvailable" and one for "closingBooked") based on the transactions of the account
5. The existing payment data in the Mock Server will not be migrated to the demobank. This will only impact the cases where the Payment was sent to the bank. (PSU was authenticated and had enterred his password). These requests will fail on XS2A Server side and must be renewed:

  • Payment cancellation request: DELETE /v1/{payment-service}/{payment-product}/{paymentId}
  • Payment initiation status request: GET /v1/{payment-service}/{payment-product}/{paymentId}/status
